Associated Laboratories
OSU in the Région Centre (OSUC)
The Paris Observatory is a secondary supervisor for the OSUC of which the Nançay Radioastronomical Station is one of the units. There are strong links with this OSU, not only for the running of the Nançay station, which is a key element in the development of radioastronomy at the Observatory, but also because of the scientific collaborations which have been established between scientists at the Observatory and the OSUC for the use of the material at the Station.
Laboratoire d’astroparticules et Cosmologie (APC) - Laboratory for astroparticles and cosmology
The Observatory is one of the secondary supervisors of the laboratory for Astroparticles and Cosmologie (APC). Collaborations are being set up between this research unit and departments at the Observatory. These two institutes have many subjects in common, involving cosmology, high energy physics and the detection of gravitational waves. Certain of the priority subjects of the APC in these disciplines are also priority subjects of the Observatory.
Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (LPP) - laboratory for plasma physics
The observatory has a partnership agreement with the Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (LPP) - laboratory for plasma physics - of the Pierre and Marie Curie University and the École Polytechnique. There are strong links between this laboratory and the LESIA for the study of space plasmas and associated space missions. There are also strong links with the LERMA and the LESIA within the framework of the LabEx PLAS@PAR and the Plasma pole at UPMC.
