The Academy of Sciences honored Suzanne Débarbat during the prize ceremony which took place in the Coupole de l’Institut de France, on November 26th 2019.

A professional astronomer at the Paris Observatory, Suzanne Débarbat received the prize in recognition of her work in the history of science and epostomology. She is considered to be the leading authority on the history of French and European astronomy. Recognized as such the world over, she is the author of many key papers.
